　１週間遅れで、ようやくケンブラ港に現れたＢＢＣシャンハイ号。

　どうしてこのような老朽船に、公称「２５トン」の核廃棄物を運ばせたのだろう？

　たいしたもの積んでいない（実際はプルトニウムを積んでいながら）というカムフラージュだったのではないか？

　どんなものが、どれだけのものが荷揚げされたか確認する必要がある。

　それから――ＢＢＣシャンハイ号がこの先、どこに向かうかも監視する必要がある。

　フランスのシェルブールで積み込んで、ケンブラ港で荷揚げしなかったものがあるかも知れないのだ。

　なにしろ同船は、インドネシア海軍がマラッカ海峡を通過させまいと厳戒態勢を取った船だ。

　このまま東アジア海域へ向かう（日本方面に向かってくる）可能性もある。

　・　Greenpeace spokeswoman Emma Gibson is on board a boat following the BBC Shanghai and said it appeared unsuitable to transport the radioactive waste.

　"It's a right rust bucket of a ship which is what I was expecting," she said.

　・　The BBC Shanghai brought 25 tonnes of nuclear waste, processed in France, for long-term storage in Australia.

　The bulk carrier was surrounded by police boats and jet skis as it was piloted through the port.

　A number of spectators gathered to see the ship arrive and about a dozen Greenpeace activists positioned themselves on the port's southern break wall.

　The protestors unfurled a banner with the words "Don't waste Australia" as the bulk carrier passed.

　・　The steel container the waste is held in will be unloaded and transported to Lucas Heights, in Sydney's south, under police guard via suburban roads and the Princes Highway tonight.

　・　The BBC Shanghai travelled from France with what Australian authorities described as "intermediate-level waste", according to Greenpeace.

　French authorities classified it as "high level" because it still contains plutonium, they said.
