　　東京電力福島第一原発事故で、政府から避難などを指示された福島県の１３市町村で昨年、計５７３人の災害関連死が認定されたことが、各自治体への取材でわかった。

　災害関連死の証明書は原発事故に直接起因する死亡に対して発行されるものではなく、原発災害に伴う疲れや慢性疾患の悪化による死亡に対して発行されるものだ。もしも自治体がその死因がフクシマの惨事に直接むすびついたものであることを認定したら、遺族に対して慰謝料が支給される。もし死んだ人が一家の稼ぎ主だあるなら、５００万円が支払われる。

　A disaster-related death certificate is issued when a death is not directly caused by a tragedy, but by fatigue or the aggravation of a chronic disease due to the disaster.
